Nokia 7390: Highly Stylized 3G Technology

December 4th, 2011 No comments

A bundle of ‘top of the line’ features in a highly fashionable outfit – thats Nokia 7390 in one line. Owing to its relation with the highly fashionable L’Amour collection, the Nokia 7390 is an eye-candy. The clamshell sports the iconic curves and design elements that separates the ethnic and traditionally inclined L’Amour handset from the clutter of the ‘futuristic’ designs.

The external TFT screen with 262k vibrant colours is one of the best in business but do not compare well with the brilliant 16 million colour deliverable, primary QVGA display. Its weight of 115 gm and smaller dimension makes it very easy to carry in any pocket. The Nokia 7390 is available in two colour solutions – bronze black and powder pink, each has a distinct personality of its own.

One of the compelling feature of the Nokia 7390 is its 3.0 megapixel camera. The high resolution camera module is well complimented by digital zoom, flash and most importantly, autofocus. These features goes a long way in capturing any moments of your life with actual colours and great details, irrespective of unfavorable shooting environments. Just like any other cameras, video recording is supported too, but in higher resolution.

The Nokia 7390 has a secondary VGA camera module for video calling. The 3G technology of the Nokia 7390 allows it to make video calls across WCDMA networks. High speed mobile Internet is also possible within 3G network with the Nokia 7390. You can also opt for a ‘slower’ speed of around 236 kbps with EDGE and GPRS in case 3G connectivity is absent.

Audio file formats like MP3, AAC, eAAC+, M4A and videos in 3GPP, H.263 and MPEG4 formats coul be played on the integrated media player of the Nokia 7390 . You can also stream in Videos with its high data transfer speeds. Other than available internal memory of about 21 Mb, up to 2GB of external memory card is supported.

LCD Televisions and Dvd/blu-ray Players

November 14th, 2011 No comments

When you’ve run out of things to say to each other over the turkey dinner, nothing can unite a family like some Christmas TV specials or a hot new movie release. However, if you want to make the most of your festive viewing then there are two essentials – a state-of-the art LDV TV and a top class Blu-ray player. Big-screen TVs make a perfect seasonal gift for the whole family whether you want to watch the Boxing Day Premier League action or just catch those extended soap specials. To see the picture in all its glory however, you’ll need to pick up one of the latest LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, which are thinner and lighter than Plasma TVs, use less energy and provide near-perfect clarity. There are several hot LCD TV models for Christmas 2008 including: • Sony KDL-32W4000 LCD TV – A 32inch screen with a digital tuner that features a neat design touch to hide away wires protruding from the back of the screen. • Panasonic TX-32LZD85 LCD TV – Increased sharpness, detail and fluidity of motion are the highlights of this high-definition (HD) ready 32inch TV that even includes an SD card slot for direct viewing of photographs taken with a digital camera. • Toshiba 40ZF355D LCD TV – A super-slim bezel makes this 40inch Toshiba LCD TV appear smaller than it is – ideal if you don’t want a TV to completely dominate your room. The Toshiba Regza 40ZF355D LCD TV is one of the best TVs around for Blu-ray viewing with improved response to vibrant colours and black levels. Blu-ray players are all the rage and are widely favoured ahead of HD-DVDs. However, customers should ensure they buy a Profile 2-ready model to be sure they’ll get the most from the technology with older models not having the necessary hardware for exciting new features such as picture-in-picture options. This year’s best sellers are likely to include: • Pioneer BDP-LX08 Blu-ray Player– Considered one of the best Blu-ray Players available with high image quality and good DVD capabilities, ideal if you don’t want to replace an existing collection. • Panasonic DMP-BD30– Processes more than 15billion pixels per second to express motion smoothly and superbly display images. • Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray player Faster than its predecessors at loading films, this Sony Blu-ray Player supports all the latest Blu-ray technology. If you’re looking for a cheap option then pick up a Sony PS3 which includes a Blu-ray Player alongside its video game capabilities.

Nokia N93: Taking your Digital Camera Head on

September 27th, 2011 No comments

There has been a lot of discussions about how mobile phones are competing with digital cameras. Though the arguments are convincing in favor of mobile phone that would subsequently uproot digital cameras as consumer’s first choice for imaging needs, this sounds like a scene of a distant future. With the launch of Nokia N93, the future suddenly is within our grasp. Being a top end member of the highly acclaimed N series, the Nokia N93 is essentially a 3G enabled, multimedia communication device. The handset is a bit on the heavier side at 180 gm and resembles a miniature digital camcorder.

The twist and rotating QVGA screen of the Nokia N93 displays more than 262k vibrant colours. The screen can work in imaging mode, viewing mode, fold open mode and fold closed mode. The sleek black casing with chrome edging give an impression of reliability and sophistication. The Nokia N93 is endowed with a massive 3.2 mega pixel camera sporting lens made by Carl Zeiss. High definition images do not compromise on its resolution when you zoom in unlike other camera phones. The Nokia N93 is endowed with 3x optical zoom than the more common digital zoom.

Though 3.2 mega pixel camera module with auto focus and integrated flash is available with other models in the market, what sets the Nokia N93 apart is its DVD like video recording quality. The Nokia N93 is capable of taking part in video calls across UMTS network other than voice calls across triband GSM networks. 50 Mb of internal memory and the 128 Mb memory card included in the kit leaves you with enough space for all types of content you want to download to the Nokia N93. Other connectivity options incorporated in the Nokia N93 are GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, Blue tooth, Infrared and USB – in a nutshell, more than you’ll ever need.
