Nokia N73- N-series Top Achievement

November 4th, 2011 No comments

Nokia unveiled the latest addition to the Nokia Nseries family, the Nokia N73, a stunning multimedia computer in a compact and savvy exterior with exquisite photography features and integrated stereo speakers with 3D sound for optimized audio pleasure. In addition to a large 2.4 inch display, the Nokia N73 includes a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and support for Internet communities like Flickr – a package ready to challenge any digital camera.

The Nokia N73 meets a multitude of the everyday user’s needs – in one pocketable device. Available in 3G or quadband EDGE/GSM networks, the Nokia N73 has all the diversity of a powerful multimedia computer enabled with the S60 3rd Edition Software on Symbian OS. Music fans can tap into the Nokia N73’s integrated digital music player with playlists and equalizer or tune into the FM radio, or simply enjoy productivity features like email, office applications, organizer, synchronization with a compatible PC and browse the Internet with the Nokia Web Browser with Mini Map. See who you are calling and who calls you with the front VGA camera, enabled for video calling*.

The Nokia N73 can be considered to be a substantially upgraded version of the Nokia N70, and it can be considered as a direct competitor to the Sony Ericsson K790i and K800i handsets. Most people will see the N73 as 3G phone with tri-band GSM, although we understand that there will be a quad-band GSM version with EDGE available for some markets too.

There’s a large 2.4″ 240×320 pixel display, a 3.2 megapixel main camera with Carl Zeiss optics (and the 3G version will have a secondary video calling camera). The Nokia N73 also has stereo speakers, an FM radio, Bluetooth and expandable memory using miniSD cards (to supplement the 42Mb of internal memory supplied as standard.

On the downside, the N73 doesn’t appear to support stereo Bluetooth and the keypad appears to have a similar cramped layout to the N70. Overall though, this is a very promising looking handset that is one of the best specified mainstream handsets we’ve seen to date, and it will probably be the biggest seller in the new Nseries range.

With the Nseries Nokia are keen to stress that they have ‘taken technical products and made them easier to use’. No where is this better exemplified than in the N73 which is an extremely capable multimedia device. Integration with Flickr, Lifeblog 2.0, improved music functions, and a new user friendly camera UI all add up to a user experience that is designed with ease of use in mind.
