Know More Nikon Cameras

Copyright (c) 2009 Kentaro Konika The Nikon brand is famous across the world. Synonymous with quality and durability Nikon has carved out a large market for themselves, competing with the likes of Canon for the top-spot in the camera world. The Nikon company started out small but has grown into one of the most successful commercial camera manufacturers in the world. The company started from humble beginnings shortly after the end of World War II, launching the Nikon I in 1948. With this as their starting point Nikon continued to build on their success, quickly introducing a second camera to the market, the Nikon M, one year later in 1949. During the 1950s the brand continued to grow with the NP 1957 being released as a rival to beat the industry leading Leica 35mm from Germany. The Nikon camera quickly came to be thought of as one of the top choices amongst camera technology at the time. Since these early years Nikon has grown into a powerhouse of the camera world. Numerous technological improvements have kept Nikon cameras at the top end of the camera market. The launch of the Nikon F SLR in 1959 was a landmark in the company’s history setting an industry standard for SLR design. As a result it quickly became the tool of choice for a variety of professional photographers, taking precedence over the German Leica cameras that reigned before it. By 1980 Nikon had proven themselves to be one of the best but continued to make improvements including the release of the F3 which was designed especially for astronauts on NASA space missions to use. The design was robust and easily usable by astronauts whilst they wore their restrictive space suits. It also functioned in zero gravity environments and was resistant to solar rays which posed a problem to camera technology in space previously. As a result of the success of this camera Nikon continued to design more cameras for NASA. The success of Nikon up to this time is evident, but it has continued through the 1990s to the present day. During the ’90s Nikon produced more top quality SLRs that served to retain Nikon’s place at the top of commercial camera equipment standings. In 1992 Nikon released the NIKONOS RS, the world’s first autofocus SLR camera usable under water. This was a big step for underwater camera use, enabling photos to be taken more easily than ever in sub-aqua conditions. Nikon went on to team up with Fuji Films producing the E2 and E2S digital still cameras in 1995. In 1997 Nikon then introduced their first digital camera called the CoolPix 100. As of then Nikon has kept itself at the top of the digital camera world with a constant stream of new releases improving digital camera technology year on year. The CoolPix S50C and P4 are both excellent compacts, particularly the P4 which is a high quality 8MP product with a large view-screen on the back. The S50C is a 7.2 MP camera boasting a huge 3 inch view-screen making taking great photos easier than ever.

When it comes to professional-grade photography equipment, Nikon has been the top choice for many professional photographers. The choice of a Nikon professional digital camera is not made according to price, because they are not inexpensive, but it is made for quality, durability, functionality and reputation.

The first Nikon cameras, made during the early days of film photography, depended on optics from Zeiss, a German optical maker that produced some of the absolute best camera lenses. Around the middle of the 20th century, Zeiss-Nikon lenses were the standard for professional quality lenses throughout the world. Nikon’s reputation in the camera market quickly reached the top and their line of Nikon professional digital cameras is equally as good, if not better.

While other camera makers were quick to jump on the digital bandwagon, Nikon wanted to make sure it made the conversion right. Since their biggest base relied on a Nikon professional digital camera. As market forces changed, Nikon also tries to give amateur photographers the opportunity to have the quality professional use in a Nikon professional digital camera.

Nikon Has Success On Every Shutter Click

Similar to the company’s Nikon professional digital camera less expensive units have made their way into the hands of serious amateurs and those that buy by brand name only. Nikon’s reputation as a top camera makers is unparalleled in the photography world.

In August 2006, the release of five models of its Cookpix line, added to their reign as one of the top Nikon professional digital camera, and brought them to regular folks. All models can be found between $200 and $400 and they all have a five-star rating from consumers. The rating encompasses issues such as ease of use, dependability, quality of pictures among others. Their goal is to enable amateurs to have the same photo experience as those using a Nikon professional digital camera.

The Nikon D80, at about $1,000 is not considered to be a Nikon professional digital camera, but shares many of the features. Improved auto-focus and interchangeable lenses make it an amateur’s dream. It boasts 10.2 mega-pixels, wider flash range and longer battery life.

The Nikon professional digital camera D2X has more features than most amateurs will use in a lifetime. With a price tag pushing $5,000, this camera has it all and does it all. If they find a way for it to pay for itself, they may have an exceptional winner.

September 9th, 2011 No comments

Japan based Nikon Corporations rule the digital photographic devices market for its razor sharp clarity and fineness. Nikon’s trustworthiness and creativity with its products coupled with strategic marketing propelled it to the top. It’s the obvious virtue of customers to expect very high quality stuff with simple operability and Nikon supersedes all expectations with élan.

The latest digital SLR camera from Nikon, the D40x is the epitome of simplicity delivering excellent shots. It is touted to be the lightest digital SLR camera weighting less than 500g. This 10.2 mega pixel CCD is an updated version of its predecessor D40 which had a 6.1 mega pixel CCD. It has the trademark simple and intuitive operability of any other Nikon digital camera, designed to capture outstandingly detailed photo shots.

Fitted with AF-S DX 18.55 mm zoom Nikkor lens, this ergonomically designed 2.5 inches LCD offers a large viewing and setting space allowing even novices to click better. Professional photographers on the other hand swear by its speed that allows them to act on the moment with ease. It has a less than 1 second power-up time, something very crucial for die-hard photographers. Easy seamless control over the various settings has won the hearts of most users of this digital SLR camera.

Though the multi functionality of Nikon D40x is a dream for its users, the need to program the function button afresh each time is the only negative review highlighted by them. Otherwise there is hardly anything to complain about the Nikon D40x DSLR. It aims at filling the vacuum between D40 and D80 DSLRs in terms of resolution. It has proven to be amongst the best Nikon digital cameras in market enjoying acceptability by one and all.
